Criminology and Sociology

This degree offers an opportunity to study within the two related disciplines and you will use a combination of theory and research methods to study issues that include the manner in which human behaviour is shaped by social factors that include the family, peer groups and social and economic circumstances, and the formation and outcomes of criminal justice and social policy. In combination, criminology and sociology reflect the general orientation of criminology towards sociology as the founding discipline.
