Social Sciences with an International Foundation Year is a one-year course designed for high-calibre international students who have successfully completed 12 years of school education, and therefore need an extra year of study for UK undergraduate study. Special emphasis is placed on subject-specific tuition to prepare students for their chosen degree course, as well as developing the study skills needed for success in an independent learning environment. Social Sciences with an International Foundation Year enables entry on to any of the following Social Sciences courses offered by Loughborough University: Communication and Media Studies, Criminology and Social Policy, Sociology, Sociology with Criminology. During the year you will undertake core modules in English, Statistical Mathematics and Psychology with Sociology, and choose options from Sport Science and Economics.
