The role of the learning disability nurse is one that enables individuals to live to their full potential within the social context they choose, through collaborative interventions across a variety of health and social care settings. This course enables the learning disability nurses to learn, develop and enhance their knowledge, skills and attitudes, enabling them to promote social inclusion, good mental and physical health and self-determination. All learning is grounded in a strong evidence base of integrative health and social care modelling.
