Criminology and Policing

If you want to immerse yourself in the study of the links between human rights and topics such as youth crime, violence and crime prevention, this is an ideal course to take. Taught by former police officers, police staff, and internationally renowned academics, this course will give you a solid grounding in criminology and an understanding of contemporary community policing practice. You’ll have the opportunity to examine the institutions at the heart of the criminal justice system, including the courts, the police, prison and probation services, and with strong links to the Metropolitan Police and you’ll be guided through the career pathways available for entry into the police service.
