Policing Studies and Evidence-based Practice with Foundation Year

The BSc (Hons) Policing and Evidence-based Practice at Liverpool John Moores University forms part of a new suite of professionally focused policing studies programmes, designed with policing organisations which will prepare you for a variety of careers in the modern policing environment. •Specifically designed to address the skills gap that the police service has identified in relation to Quantitative Research •You will be taught by lecturers with academic and professional backgrounds in policing •Be part of the new Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies, the UK's first research centre devoted to supporting the needs of 21st century policing •Opportunities to gain real-life experience of policing as a Special Police Constable or police volunteer. ​Foundation Year - The Foundation Year is ideal if you have the interest and ability to study for a degree, but do not have the qualifications to enter directly onto the BSc (Hons) Policing Studies and Evidence-based Practice honours degree programme yet. Once you pass the Foundation Year (level 3) you will progress directly onto the first year of the honours degree. If you are a full-time UK student, you will qualify for student financial support for the full duration of your course (subject to eligibility criteria).
