Law: The Law course at Hope gives students a theoretical and philosophical grounding in Law as well as the ability to engage in its experiential study and application. On the course students study “a vibrant curriculum, balancing theory and practical reasoning in strong ethical context” Law Pathway External Examiners Report. Sport and Physical Education: Sport & Physical Education is a multidisciplinary subject delivered in a way that ensures graduates leave the institution with the skills to enable them to find employment. The philosophy of the curriculum is to deliver a skills-based theoretical, practical and applied experience which is underpinned by a foundation in subject knowledge and research skills. With these aims in mind the teaching activities range from traditional lectures, to seminars and tutorials supported by practical sessions both on the campus and at the University’s Field Centre in Snowdonia National Park, Wales. Students will have the opportunity to explore in detail a wide variety of principles and practices in different sports underpinned by both a theoretical and practical approach. The course will allow students to explore the impact of sport at the individual, team, organisational and wider community, from grass roots through to the elite level.
