Geography and Politics (with Foundation Year)

This is a four year degree taught at our Hope Park campus. The Foundation Year aims to develop your skills so that after a year, you will be equipped with the necessary skills needed for studying the full BA Hons degree programme. **Geography** Geography is about exploring, encountering and engaging with the world around us. It is a dynamic and exciting subject to study. It looks at how the physical world works; how people interact both with each other and with the physical world; how landscapes (both physical and human) evolve; and the ways in which the environment needs to be conserved and managed. Geography covers many different perspectives and brings them together to create a distinctive way of understanding the world. Whether your interests are more towards physical, environmental or human geography, our degree offers you the chance to develop an integrated, enriched understanding of what is taking place on our planet. **Politics** Whether at a local, regional or national level, politics and political decisions affect all citizens and are instrumental in shaping the future of the nation. At Liverpool Hope, we address topics that allow us to explore the theory and practical application of politics. We look at local issues in Liverpool, the politics of the UK and the EU and consider broader theoretical concepts such as the historical evolution of democracy and how it is practiced in the world today.
