Film & Visual Culture: Film and Visual Culture at Liverpool Hope is summed up by the term critical and creative practice. Critical practice enables you to study the history, theory and contemporary subject of film, whilst having the opportunity to apply this understanding to creative practice in the fields of screenwriting, filmmaking (drama and documentary), photography and animation. Thus you will graduate with a degree underpinned by academic rigour, but with the transferable skills needed if you intend to work in the creative industries. Popular Music: The Popular Music combined honours programme is designed to equip students with the appropriate academic knowledge and skills to enter the contemporary popular music industries. The programme is designed along three strands: 'Studying Popular Music', 'Playing Popular Music' and 'The Business of Popular Music'. Each of these strands is designed to interact, but also represent discrete opportunities for students to specialise in very specific areas.
