Psychology and Criminology

If you are fascinated by how and why people think and behave as they do, and are interested in crime and how it develops in the global arena, then this is the course for you. In addition to learning about the core areas of psychology, such as developmental psychology, social psychology, and individual differences, you will study a range of areas in criminology, allowing you to develop your understanding of crime, the criminal justice system, policing, and domestic violence. We offer a supportive and dynamic learning environment in which teamwork and shared learning are emphasised. This is augmented by two professional work placements, allowing you to further develop your employability skills. There is also the opportunity to undertake a third professional placement during the final year of study.
