Do you want to understand more about the world of business and how people operate within it? Stand out from other graduates and learn about the interface between psychology and business by understanding the behaviour of individuals, teams and organisations. You’ll learn about the core areas of psychology, such as social psychology, personality and intelligence, while studying a range of modules in business and marketing. You’ll study a specialist module in Business Psychology, as well as sharpening your skills in the digital business revolution with e-Business and e-Marketing modules. We create a supportive and lively learning environment, encouraging you to learn through teamwork and collaboration. Gaining professional experience is crucial, so you’ll put your learning into practice with the professional work placements included in your degree. We’ll work with you to arrange placement projects that match your career aspirations, or you may be able to shadow and support someone in your chosen career. If you’re interested in working abroad, you can get international experience by completing your placement overseas, taking part in our Study Abroad programme, or studying our internationally focused modules: Psychology Around the World, International Management and Changing the World. **Graduate opportunities** You’ll be prepared for a wide range of careers in the public and private sectors, such as advertising, management, consultancy, human resources, the health and social care professions or teaching. You will gain insight into human motivation, relationships and behaviour of the individual, the team and the organisation, which will give you a wide range of transferable employability skills that are in-demand by employers. **Placement opportunities** We are one of only a few UK universities to build professional work placements into every degree. You’ll complete two professional work placements, which will give you the chance to graduate with up to three months’ professional work experience without having to take a sandwich year out. We have strong connections with local and national government, with students completing placements at Leeds Children’s Services, Leeds City Council Community Safety Teams, and the NHS. You could also choose to work in a third sector organisation, such as Oxfam, Marie Curie, The Samaritans and Mind.
