Our Economics programme is designed to provide the essential knowledge, understanding and skills required for you to have a successful career. High-level employability and research skills are the cornerstone of this course, as well as the ability to analyse economic information through theoretical and practical research-based modules and gain analytical and numerical skills. The course covers a wide range of micro and macroeconomic topics, whilst allowing you to build your own areas of research interest and develop the skills required to debate political and economic ideas and solutions from across the world. You will not only study theoretical foundations of economics, but will explore the breadth of real-life case studies and industry experiences. Our lecturers have significant business experience and have worked for major international companies. With a combination of professional development and placement experience and an organisation-based research project, you will be equipped to progress to employment or further study at the end of the course. On this course we encourage entrepreneurship and creativity and will provide support from business mentors at our Enterprise Centre, where you will receive help to start your own company.
