Working with Children and Young people

**Why choose this course?** "This has been a really useful and great learning experience; it has given me information on a number of topics within a professional setting." Current student, Working with Children & Young People BA(Hons). This course is aimed at those wanting to work with children, young people and their families. It blends theory and practice so you will have the opportunity to undertake two work placements, with our partner organisations, during your degree. These could be in settings such as youth justice, early intervention teams, schools, children's centres and in youth mentoring so you'll be able to investigate which area you like best. During your three years you will benefit from the expertise of lecturers and professionals from a number of different disciplines. When you graduate, you'll be well-positioned for careers or further study in areas such as education, social work, nursing, early years and youth services. You will be encouraged to explore different ways of working through creative workshops, whilst developing your employability skills. Your research skills and creative abilities will be developed to produce exciting ideas to benefit children, young people and their families.
