It covers the science behind the preparation, supply and monitoring of medicines for the treatment and prevention of disease. You’ll be introduced to the profession of pharmacy, law, ethics and good dispensing practice, the role of hospital, community and industrial pharmacists. Through case studies, you’ll learn how chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics affect clinical practice. You’ll learn alongside other future healthcare professionals and talk to patients about their conditions and treatment. Year 4 features a research based project, for which you’ll receive tuition.
