Interior Design - Kingston University

**We are very proud to be the top university in UK for design and crafts (Guardian University Guide League Tables 2020)** **Reasons to choose Kingston** – Kingston is ranked No 1 in the UK for Design & Crafts* (Guardian University League Tables 2020) *(covers graphic design, interior design, illustration, animation and product and furniture design) – All our projects are developed collaboratively with external partners who often award placements and prizes and exhibit the best work. – Working in purpose-built design studios, you’ll have access to a dedicated art, design and material library and impressive prototyping facilities. **About this course** On this course, you’ll work on projects that range from the design of temporary events to the inventive reuse of neglected buildings. Past projects have included events within historic palaces, a hotel attached to the International Space Station and bringing former factories, hotels and performance venues back to life. You’ll learn to create environments that give form, identity and meaning to a rapidly changing world. We aim to prepare you for the demands of contemporary design practice whilst exploiting the creative opportunities of being within an art school. This course is taught in the Design School, Kingston School of Art. Our staff are practising designers, researchers and academics who'll enrich your student experience with contemporary issues, events and challenges. You'll have open access to our fantastic, newly refurbished workshops and studios, and have multiple opportunities to exhibit your own work at shows both on campus and externally.
