This means it contains a solid academic foundation as well as preparing you for the needs of the world beyond higher education. **About this course** On this course, you’ll gain an understanding of the Earth’s environments and the global concerns of humanity. You’ll be introduced to both subject-specific and transferable skills. These include data collection, project design and management, critical thinking, social policy analysis, urban planning and design, environmental monitoring and management, and report writing and presentation skills. Teaching is often with organisations such as planning departments, environmental agencies, business support networks, community organisations and town centre management teams. This will support your professional development and boost your employability. You’ll choose from a wide range of topics and complete an independent dissertation. There is fieldwork in the UK, Europe, and an optional overseas trip (currently to South Africa).
