Dance and Drama - Kingston University

**Why choose this course?** – You’ll perform regularly in public. There are opportunities at Kingston’s Rose Theatre, the International Youth Arts Festival, the Camden Fringe Festival and in Edinburgh. These projects will extend and develop your project management skills. – A placement will offer you valuable and relevant work experience. Examples of placements include BalletBoyz and The Place. – Kingston University’s new Town House building will feature a performance studio theatre and three large dance studios, equipped to professional standards with fully sprung floors, mirrors and barres. **About this course** On this course, you’ll develop your own identity in dance and as a theatre-maker. Combining critical and creative practice, you’ll gain the skills to master physical performance in both dance and drama. You’ll work in a range of workshops and active technique classes, across a wide range of performance styles. This reflects professional practice and includes popular and non-Western forms. You’ll develop analytical, choreographic, directorial, ensemble and performance skills to prepare you for work in the performance industry. You’ll learn how you can pursue your interests within performing arts.
