**Why Choose Kingston** – On this degree, you’ll develop skills to help you towards becoming a chartered engineer, as this degree is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM). – You’ll have the chance to undertake an industry work placement. – Residential field trips focus on engineering surveying, geotechnical engineering and coastal engineering. **About the Course** You’ll study civil engineering subjects, such as structures, hydraulics, geotechnics, construction materials, mathematics and site surveying. You’ll also study the development, design and construction of sustainable infrastructure, focusing on water engineering, transport, highway and the energy sector. You’ll work in specialist laboratories, including concrete, hydraulics, materials, soils and structures, and experience real-life scenarios through site visits and field trips. Practical work includes surveying, model-making, engineering drawing and computer-aided design. You’ll also gain skills in project and business management.
