Neuroscience and Psychology with a Professional Placement Year - King’s College London

Understanding mental processes in health and disease goes hand in hand with understanding how the brain works. Our brains are complex biological systems, operating at multiple levels and constantly shaping and being shaped by our experience. This course will equip students with knowledge and skills that go beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries, and will enable students to understand the interplay between mental and neural processes. The course will focus on psychological sciences and the exciting, growing areas of cognitive/systems/computational neuroscience. This course will appeal to students who are looking towards careers or future study paths in psychology or neuroscience. Possible career choices are broad, including all the career options associated with BSc Psychology (eg clinical psychology, occupational psychology, educational psychology) as well as more neuroscience focused careers such as biomedical research, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry.
