Veterinary Physiotherapy

Who studies Veterinary Physiotherapy? The Veterinary Physiotherapy degree is an exciting new addition to Harper Adams’ range of courses. This course would be of interest to students who have a passion for caring for animals, enjoy interacting with animal owners, the veterinary profession and others involved in the care and treatment of animals. Physiotherapists analyse and assess animals’ posture, movement and locomotory function, and treat musculo-skeletal problems such as muscular damage, back pain, fractures, some neurological conditions and sporting injuries. Physiotherapy can also help animals recover following surgery, and enhance working or athletic ability. Physiotherapists often work with a range of animals, from horses to dogs, cats and occasionally livestock.
