Nursing Studies (Adult - Honours)

Adult nurses operate as confident, competent and compassionate practitioners, engaging in values based nursing. Become a Registered Nurse and develop skills to improve health and wellbeing of individuals, their families and communities. With a fully-equipped simulated ward area on campus and close to Scotland’s leading hospitals, studying at GCU gives you access to excellent facilities. The Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Centre, a fully equipped simulated home and hospital environment, situated on campus, is used to provide opportunities for the development and practice of clinically focused skills in a safe, supported and highly effective learning environment. You will experience a variety of clinical placements and will learn through a wide variety of methods. Clinical practice accounts for 50% of the course, including community and hospital placements as well as independent and voluntary sector experience. Upon graduation you will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
