Game Development: Programming

Explore your love for games and become part of a thriving global industry. If your ambition is to make games, our course builds the skills you need to fulfil that dream and carve out a career in games. Whether you want to be a programmer, a designer, an artist, an animator, a writer or sound designer, on our course you can decide which route interests you and then put your knowledge into practice with fellow students. You’ll make completed, publishable games, using an interdisciplinary approach that distinguishes Falmouth’s Game Development course from the rest. You’ll gain exactly the type of experience needed for employment in the games industry or to start up your own independent game development studio. As a Game Development student, you’ll learn about the commerce, theory and design of digital games. This knowledge is complemented by the development of skills that are gained in your specialist area (art, animation, audio, design, programming or writing). Most significantly you’ll work in groups to make complete games at every level of the course. This and our interdisciplinary approach are what make the course unique to Falmouth.
