If you want to have a more creative career then this is the course for you. Over the three years we equip you with the strategic, presentation and creative thinking skills you need to solve today's real world problems, as well as the digital and craft skills required to create memorable creative advertising. What’s more you will have great fun doing it, working in teams with your fellow students on modules such as art direction, copy writing, social media and strategy and planning. Your introduction to the communication industry begins right away in the first year with an inspirational trip to London to experience the many facets of advertising and meet many of our industry friends and alumni who work in agencies such as JWT, Ogilvy’s, BBH, and VCCP. As a second and third year student you’ll get the chance to work on live agency briefs which last year created over 100 weeks of paid work placements and jobs after graduation, this also included all our final year students pitching ideas to Ogilvy’s Chief Creative Officer Mick Mahoney and twelve of them won paid internships. As Mick says ‘’The lecturers are doing a great job in preparing Falmouth students for a career in advertising’’ We’re proud that nearly all of our lecturers have worked as creative directors and know how to build a good body of work and a successful career in advertising. You get the chance to enter creative competitions such as D&AD and gain industry recognition, just look for award-winning Falmouth work at the D&AD New Blood festival. You’ll also get the opportunity to be a part of the Erasmus exchange and study abroad with our European and international partner universities. By the time you graduate you will have made your own agency contacts, most probably undertaken a work placement and maybe even been offered a job. Don’t believe us? Look at the stats; 100% of our grads gain employment (DHLE, 2016) 85% of which are in highly skilled jobs (Unistats, 2016). Students also appreciate our efforts, 96% of our graduates were satisfied with the course (NSS, 2016). Just as in professional advertising, we believe it’s possible to be successful and have fun doing it.
