Taught by award-winning professionals from within the industry, Journalism BA (Hons) at De Montfort University will support you to learn about how to become a successful journalist within a specialised area. The Joint Honours course in Journalism allows you to combine two subject areas, allowing you to expand your knowledge of another specialist subject alongside Journalism. The course will develop your understanding of the industry as well as developing your writing skills and techniques in order to become a successful Journalist within a specific field. We have a strong focus on employability, and The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017 has ranked our Media courses in the top 20 in the country for graduate prospects As part of this course you will also have the opportunity to contribute work to our student-led award-winning Demon Media, giving you the a platform to develop your work experience through The Demon newspaper, Demon FM community radio station, Demon TV and The Demon website.
