This is a dynamic modern History course which is taught by leading scholars specialising in British, European, Colonial and World History; the very people who are writing the books on which our course is based. The Joint Honours course in History allows you to combine two subject areas giving you a broader feel of the specific area within History. The course begins by looking at the general outline of modern History since the late eighteenth century and progresses over the course of three years to more specialised research based modules. You will improve your historical knowledge and understanding to a high level and develop key transferable skills that are vital to the modern workplace. We offer the following joints with the History course: History and International Relations: LVF1, History and Politics: LV21, History and Journalism: PV51, History with French: V1R9 and History with Mandarin Chinese: V1T1.
