Arts and Festivals Management and Drama Studies

Arts and Festivals Management at DMU is one of the longest running degree courses of its kind in the UK and is rising in the ranks (7th out of 48) according to the Guardian University Guide 2016. You will gain practical, theoretical and professional skills required to successful manage events on any scale and complexity, and be ready to work within the ever expanding arts and festivals sector. The course equips you with the skills in teamwork, marketing and management theory, fundraising, business planning, licensing, health and safety, programming and cultural policy, that you need to become a leader in the cultural arena in theatres, music venues, galleries, museums and festivals. Drama Studies combines performance, theory and contextual study. You will have opportunities to act, script, direct and study the history of different theatrical traditions.
