Studying our Games Art BA could mean the games you love playing become the games you’re paid to create! BA Games Art is designed to specifically address the visual needs of games and their visual development. Whilst developing an understanding of the needs of coders and game developers, students will have a solid grounding in visualisations techniques, character, environment and concept design. Delivered in collaboration with the School of Computing and capitalising on expertise within the University-based international Serious Games Institute, this course aims to develop your understanding of the needs of coders and game developers, at the same time addressing the visual needs of games development. You can learn about industry practices in a simulated games studio environment, gaining a solid grounding in visualisation techniques, character, environment and concept design. Building on our expertise in animation, graphic design, illustration and games computing, this course offers opportunities to work with animators and illustrators to develop core skills in drawing, perspective and concept development, while learning about the trends and technical developments within the games industry.
