Building Surveying

This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to be able to give expert advice on construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of buildings, always ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. If you choose this course you will benefit from: A course which is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB); the opportunity to take and support in applying for a full year work placement which can count towards your professional Chartered status; academic staff who are active researchers and consultants to RICS in their field and who have professional industrial experience which they bring into their teaching; studying with a wide range of other professional disciplines in an integrated department of architecture, building and civil engineering, reflecting the modern interdisciplinary nature of the construction industry; integrated project work, running through each year of the course, where theory is put into practice as soon as it is learned; further study and specialisation is available by studying a PhD or one of our MSc courses.
