Law - LLB

The LLB (Hons) is a qualifying Law degree recognised by both the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board (BSB). It offers detailed understanding of the framework and application of legal rules and innovative opportunities to develop professional transferable skills through practical assessments such as mooting, negotiation and mediation exercises. Studying law is an intellectually exciting and stimulating experience; law affects every part of our daily lives and the degree encourages you to develop an inquisitive and critical approach, learn to think rationally, communicate succinctly and be able to construct persuasive and effective arguments. You will be able to put legal theory to practice in our purpose built mock courtroom and supported, through student-centred approaches, to develop further your skills in collaboration, effective communication, legal research, and public speaking. This degree is ideal if you are interested in becoming a practicing solicitor or barrister. It also develops competencies and transferable skills suiting those wishing to embark on wide ranging careers in policy areas such as international organisations, government departments, the charity sector and the world of business.
