Sociology and Social Policy

Combining the study of sociology and social policy enables you to build an understanding of how societies attempt to meet the needs of their populations at different points in time. The programme is stimulating, innovative and up-to-date, and aims to be highly relevant to your future career. You will gain a strong foundational knowledge of key issues and theories before developing your own research. As well as gaining a deep, practical understanding of social policy, you will engage with a range of intellectual traditions and social science disciplines and apply your knowledge to the study of current policies.
