Planning to start or further your career as a health and social care professional? Have a strong desire to help people? Our foundation course is an excellent gateway into a variety of roles in care homes, residential homes, voluntary organisations, special schools and agencies providing domiciliary care. Practical learning Structured around employment in the health and social care sector, this course has been designed with relevant employers to meet the demanding needs of the industry. Our lecturers will help you develop specialist knowledge and skills in care work. This work-based course will also help you to gain skills in analysis and evaluation. You’ll also gain first-hand experience through work-based learning in either paid employment or voluntary roles. You’ll work with a range of different people such as young offenders, those with mental health needs, learning disabilities and also the vulnerable, elderly and disabled.
