Sport development is a term used to describe a range of policy, organisational, and management processes relating to the wider field of sport, from grassroots to elite levels. As a sport development student you will study a diverse range of topics – including sociology, management, anthropology, law, media, marketing and policy – producing portfolios, sport programme design and evaluation proposals, research posters, videos and case studies relevant to different sport development contexts and practices.
