So, if you’re aiming for a career in Physiotherapy, our course will provide your route into this varied and practical health profession.

At Brunel, you’ll gain a thorough understanding of your subject, receiving excellent, evidence-based teaching. You’ll undertake work placements to develop your clinical skills in real healthcare settings. When you graduate you’ll be eligible to apply for professional registration necessary for clinical practice. If you’re fascinated by how the human body works and want to use your scientific knowledge to improve the lives and wellbeing of others, this course is for you.

Our Mary Seacole Building is purpose-built for physiotherapy programmes, with rooms that mirror the clinical environment. The facilities include a specialist gym and bespoke treatment rooms. We have great links with some of the most highly regarded London placement partners as well as many general hospitals. They include King’s College Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital, The Royal Free, University College Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Great Ormond Street Hospital and many more.

Our Physiotherapy course focuses on autonomy, research and clinical excellence and our teaching is informed by contemporary research. You’ll complete 1,000 hours of clinical experience, boosting your communication and team working skills as well as your professional abilities. After graduation, you’ll be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council and with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. As part of your course, you’ll complete 30 weeks of clinical practice. This lets you apply what you learn in the classroom in an authentic healthcare environment. Clinical practice takes place in six-week blocks which gives you time to find your feet and consolidate your learning. Our students are extremely well thought of by clinicians in South East England, who have rated 98% of Brunel students as excellent or very good on their final clinical practice placement before qualifying.
