How do people learn? What gets in the way of learning? Where might people learn best? Can education make a difference to human rights? These are just some of the big questions that our contemporary, issues-based Education Studies programme will examine. This course has been carefully designed to give you the ‘bigger’ picture of education in a global society. It will also help develop your understanding of psychology, theories of the mind, emotions and behaviour. You’ll become familiar with how these theories are applied in our lives, communities and societies. You’ll learn about specific mental processes, such as memory, language and attention, as well as broader issues and theories.
