Mental Health Nursing (January)

Develop the knowledge, skills and values you will need to meet the mental health needs of a diverse population. This may be empowering individuals on their unique journeys to recovery, or providing ongoing high-quality care to support people of all ages so that they can experience a full, active and meaningful life. Birmingham City University is the largest regional provider of qualified staff to the NHS (for health and social services), with 98.5% of our nursing students progressing to graduate-level work or further study within 6 months of completing the course (DHLE Survey 2015/16). By employing a variety of innovative and contemporary teaching methods, this programme will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive as a mental health nurse, with several of our alumni being awarded prizes at a national level for their achievements. Extracurricular experiences include the opportunity for international visits through our Go Abroad scheme, giving you the edge in later job interviews.
