The Child Nursing degree course expertly supports you in gaining the knowledge and skills that are required to care for children, young people and their families across all ages. Not only will you gain an academic qualification but also entry onto the professional register which is maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Delivered as 50 per cent theory and 50 per cent practice, the course will provide you with a wide range of experiences of caring for children of all ages in placements across high dependency, acute, chronic, community and child and adolescent mental health settings. Whilst in practice you will be supported by a mentor. Your academic studies will provide you with the necessary knowledge and understanding to ensure that your care is evidence-based and current in an increasingly technical care environment.
