Delivered in our new, state-of-the-art development at City South Campus, you’ll develop a range of practical and analytical skills that will prepare you for a challenging and rewarding career. Taught by a team of experienced biomedical scientists, you will be introduced to modules that focus on physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, genetics and pharmacology. You will also undertake extensive work placements, gaining valuable real-life skills and improving your employability prospects. There is also provision within this programme for a sandwich year work placement. Unlike other biomedical science programmes, that develop graduates to enter laboratory-based professions, our course ensures you could enter a wide range of careers (as well as working within a lab). You could pursue a career in medical journalism and reporting, community health promotion, health education and many other health care professions.
