Aston Medical School will admit a small cohort of 60 medical students in September 2018, and invites applications from international fee paying students and from those enrolled on the Sir Doug Ellis Pathway to Healthcare Programme. Aston Medical School’s mission is to promote social mobility and inclusivity and the University has a long tradition of focusing on the welfare and achievements of students while delivering research-based teaching. There is a unique opportunity to take Management and Leadership modules within this new MBChB programme to prepare you to shape as well as deliver compassionate clinical practice in an ever-changing world. You will study medicine in a small cohort within a close-knit community enabling you to establish friendships and professional networks, and individualised support will help you achieve the very highest standards. Students from over 120 countries study at Aston University each year, enjoying the safe, close-knit and friendly atmosphere right in the centre of the vibrant city of Birmingham. There is a dedicated International Students' Officer to support and represent international students. Once enrolled all international students are entitled to free academic English language support to ensure they get the most out of lectures, can participate fully in seminars, and demonstrate their learning effectively in presentations and written assignments.
