Tourism Management (with Placement Year)

Study the economic, social, political, cultural and environmental significance of tourism. Take part in exciting study visits and prepare for a career in an industry which is of major, and growing, importance to our global economy. Study with us in Cambridge, in the middle of a historic, world-renowned tourist destination. While you’re here, you’ll enjoy study visits in the UK and overseas – including a field visit to a leading European urban tourism destination. You'll also have the chance to learn Mandarin, French or Spanish. With its roots in geography, sociology and urban planning, tourism is an interesting and exciting subject to study. You’ll explore the subject in depth, and apply what you’ve learned to real-life case studies. It’s the perfect way to prepare for a career in a range of tourism-based industries. Our academics are passionate about sharing their experiences and expertise. They’re also active members of research communities, meaning their knowledge is fresh, relevant and up to date. We are members of the Association of Tourism in Higher Education (ATHE). This course is recognised by the Tourism Management Institute.
