The Year Abroad is compulsory for all students on this course. Students embarking on their year abroad will have the option of studying in one of our partner Universities in Spain or to undertake a work placement in Spain or any Spanish speaking country. During this four year degree, you will receive four hours per week of intensive language classes which will include: written, oral, aural and translation. You will also explore areas such as policies and current issues in Education, Child development, the psychology of learning and thinking and many more. You also discover specialist language modules in areas such as Linguistics, Business, Politics, Culture, Literature and Art. On successful completion of your degree you will have developed a broad range of specialist and transferable skills and capabilities that employers are seeking. Our language graduates are often employed as teachers or translators, but high-level language skills are also in demand in the financial sector, law, the business world and the wider public sector.
