In choosing to study joint honours Drama and Theatre Studies/History at Aberystwyth University you will immerse yourself in a rigorous and challenging discipline combining both practical and theoretical elements. In Drama and Theatre Studies you will look through and beyond historic and established forms to explore what drama, theatre and performance can be now and in the future. In History you will encounter a broad range of historical periods, and gain an understanding of how and why the world has evolved the way it has. On this degree programme you will have the opportunity to encounter a wide range of critical and creative forms and practices and develop your capacity as an independent theatre-maker, thinker and scholar, while equipping yourself for research and analysis in many contexts.
