If food is your passion this is the programme for you. You will explore the relationships between food and the consumer and socioeconomic, legal, technical, ethical and environmental factors that shape food supply and food choice. Both the Food and Consumer Science programme and the Food, Nutrition and Health programme share the same curriculum in the first two years, allowing you to transfer easily between them in line with your career goals. Work alongside industry professionals and gain professional experience during a 10-week work placement. Develop your practical skills in Abertay's state-of-the-art food labs and consumer experience centre. This programme is aligned to the General Teaching Council (GTC) for Home Economics Teaching and is accredited by the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST).
