Advertising Standards

• Each job advert must pertain to one position – one position is defined as one job title e.g. “Lecturer” (we will accept Lecturer/Senior Lecturer only if the employment grade is not yet confirmed) but we would not accept “faculty position in” and within one specific subject area e.g. “in Medieval English Literature” and not “in the Faculty of Humanities”.

• Job adverts will remain live for 30 days or until the closing date if under 30 days. You can extend an advert over 30 days for an additional cost, please contact recruitment@timeshighereducation.com.

• Job titles must have a 100-character limit.

• Each job advert should be no longer than 800 words. When taking an enhanced listing, additional documents of longer than 800 words may be attached, additional documents can’t be uploaded on standard adverts.

• Where possible, external URL’s (web links) should not be included within the body of the text, these will be placed behind the “apply button”. This will enable THEunijobs to provide you with accurate statistics on your adverts performance.

• All job adverts should be written in English, THEunijobs may consider dual language adverts on a case by case basis but reserve the right to refuse them.

• If your online listing(s) is/are paired with a print advertisement, all online listings must be placed as Enhanced in order to allow separate text to that featured within your print advertisement; otherwise, online text will mirror print text if standard listings are used.

• Job adverts should be proofed and spell checked by the client, although THEunijobs will make every effort to ensure job adverts are ready for consumption, they will not take responsibility for any errors that are present.

• Job adverts should be formatted by the client in the style they wish it to appear online; THEunijobs will do what they can to mirror this formatting but will not be held responsible for changes in formatting.

• All job adverts must relate to one location, THEunijobs will not advertise one job over several locations.

• All job adverts will show one recruiter logo (faculty/additional logos can be added to the advert copy with enhanced adverts)

• All enhanced headers will be specific to the University/Institution and designed by our in-house creative team based on their website, we do not accept faculty specific enhanced headers.

• THEunijobs will not advertise under the name of a consultancy or search firm.

• All job adverts should be provided in word document format or a direct URL; we do not accept PDF’s.
