Academic & University Jobs in South America

South America

Over the past few decades, there has been a lot of growth and change in higher education in South America. A majority of universities are young, and although institutions are still mostly teaching-focused, many are looking to enhance their research capacity and to internationalise – and to do this, they need high-quality teaching and research staff. US universities are expanding links with South America, and governments are keen to develop knowledge economies and create wider access to higher education, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Colombia have well-regarded higher education systems and have 28 institutions in the top 800 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-16.
