The School of Psychological & Social Sciences at York StJohn University is a vibrant, ambitious and growing academic unit based on a magnificent campus in the heart of York. The School’s burgeoning national and international research profile, excellent teaching and learning, and welcoming and inclusive ethos supports an exceptional student experience.

We are seeking two enthusiastic team members to contribute to our vibrant undergraduate and postgraduate offers in Counselling Psychology, and to further strengthen our growing research activity. Our School offers anumber of undergraduate degrees that confer the Graduate Basis for Chartership with the British Psychological Society, and a dynamic, developing postgraduate provision in both taught and research degrees.

The successful candidate will be Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered in counselling, clinical, health or forensic psychology, will have research interests and outputs in counselling, clinical, health or forensic psychology, and be able to teach across a range of modules on the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate counselling psychology programmes. Candidates will be supported to develop an outstanding research profile with the aim of contributing to the School’s REF2021 submission.
