We are looking for a qualified accountant to join our friendly and professional team in this interesting and varied role. This is a new post created to strengthen the Finance team as the University develops new opportunities – we currently have two Senior Accountant posts and this will be a third.

Based within the Finance team of 25 staff, the role is one of three Senior Accountant posts reporting to the Head of Finance. You will provide management accounts functions and have regular interaction with budget-holders and other colleagues around the University. Working closely with the Head of Finance you will produce year end accounts ready for audit and manage compliance with VAT and other Finance policies. Working with Finance colleagues in the income, purchase ledger and payroll teams and with colleagues in other departments you will continuously explore ways to improve processes to deliver efficiencies and improve financial reporting. You will also have the opportunity to work on projects such as accounting for capital projects and our new London campus, and have input to strategic business decisions.
