Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is the no.1 ranked joint venture university in China and embodies what it means to be a global university.
It is an English-language university located in Suzhou, just west of Shanghai, which has grown since its establishment in 2006 to today’s on-campus student body of 11,000 and a further 3,000 completing their degrees in Liverpool. An independent university with dual degree-awarding powers from the Chinese Ministry of Education and from the University of Liverpool, XJTLU’s overarching vision is to be a research-led international university in China and a Chinese university recognized internationally.
