VIT invites applications for faculty positions from reputed academicians of all over the world with an established record of independent, high quality research, and committed to teaching and research. 

Areas: all disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Management, Architecture, Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. The selected candidates will be willing to reposition in Vellore for a minimum period of 2 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Professor: Ph.D from a reputed institute with 10 years of teaching experience with significant track record of research output. Candidate with “Nature”(or, equivalent) papers, collaborative papers with top 200 universities, granted patents, research funds will get preference. 

Associate Professor: Ph.D from a reputed institute with 5 years of teaching experience with significant track record of research output. Candidate with “Nature” “Nature”(or, equivalent) papers, collaborative papers with top 200 universities, granted patents, research funds will get preference.

Assistant Professor: Ph.D from an institute ranked by QS/THE/ARWU with publication record in high impact factor journals.   

Compensation package includes: globally competitive salary with other benefits such as research allowance, performance incentive (up to one month salary), Travel Allowance for attending international conferences, Medical Insurance, Subsidized accommodation in campus, etc. Very high salary will be possible for extraordinary candidates.
