Job Description

Applications are invited for the Post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the (DST-SERB) Funded Project (Sanction Order No.: EMR/2016/004816), in Centre for Nanobiotechnology [CNBT], Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).

Title of the Project: Green materials for clean environment: Green synthesis of iron based nano materials using food wastes for antibiotic removal from water

Number of positions: One

Qualification: M.Sc (preferably with NET/GATE) with at least two years of Research experience after M.Sc with at least ONE journal publication in relevant area./M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Nanoscience/ Nanotechnology. Preference will be given to the candidates having publications in SCI indexed high impact journals in the relevant area. Selected candidate would need to join immediately.

Desirable (if any):

  1. Experience in synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles
  2. Exposure in handling various analytical instruments
  3. Experience in bioreactor development

Stipend: Rs.28000/- per month + 10% HRA

Sponsoring Agency: Department of Science & Technology-Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB)

Duration: 02 years [Initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to 2ndyear solely based on yearly performance].
