Qualifications

1. A-Class:

The applicants shall meet the requirements of the relevant National talents plan application conditions.

(1)   Applicant shall be below the age of 40 in the field of science and engineering.

(2)   Applicant shall meet the physical and mental fitness requirements with good professional ethics.

(3)   Applicants engaging in scientific researches shall be working abroad no less than 36 months after being granted a PhD degree by prestigious overseas universities, with formal teaching and researching positions in overseas prestigious universities, institutions or enterprises. The requirements upon the length of employment may be moderately softened up for those who have shown great competence or falls into the category of national urgently-needed talents.

(4)   While applying, applicants shall not have been working full-time in China; Else, applicants shall have worked in China not more than 1 year.

(5)   It is a full-time faculty position.

 

2. B-Class:

The applicants could be selected for the Outstanding Peiyang Scholars Program B-Class after university evaluation, and appointed as tenured professor, tenured associate professor or non-tenured associate professor .

(1)   Applicant shall be below the age of 40 holding a PhD degree.

(2)   Applicant shall meet the physical and mental fitness requirements with good professional ethics.

(3)   Applicants at home and abroad shall show great academic potentials and outstanding achievements with international influence.

(4)   Applicants from overseas should have at least 2 years working experiences at abroad. The requirements upon the length of employment may be moderately softened up for those who have shown great competence and achievements.

Qualifications

1. Outstanding Peiyang Scholars Program

With deepening reform of the personnel system, TJU is establishing a tenure system with its own characteristics. 1.1    A-Class:

(1)    Applicant shall be below the age of 40 in the field of science and engineering.
(2)    Applicant shall meet the physical and mental fitness requirements with good professional ethics.
(3)    Applicants engaging in scientific researches shall be working abroad no less than 36 months after being granted a PhD degree by prestigious overseas universities, with formal teaching and researching positions in overseas prestigious universities, institutions or enterprises. 1.2    B- Class:

For those whom, not yet being selected for the title of National "1000 Youth Talents Plan", the applicants could be selected for the Outstanding Peiyang Scholars Program B-Class after university evaluation, and appointed as tenured professor, tenured associate professor or non-tenured associate professor.

2. Assistant Professor Program

The appointees from the Assistant Professors Program, who are treated as the staff of the institution personnel, mainly engage in the fundamental research, engineering application, commercialization of research achievements and assistant teaching. Moreover, the appointees can also apply for postdoc position simultaneously. When recruited, they can apply for the relative position in accordance with the recruitment procedures of the non-tenured associate professors.

(1) Having held a PhD degree in related academic fields from well-known domestic and foreign universities.
(2) Having good academic ethics and professional training well acquainted with the related work in this field.
(3) Showing the potential of undertaking independent research and teaching responsibilities work.
