Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry, to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or equivalent in synthetic organic chemistry and/or luminescent metal complexes or with related background. They should have strong experience in synthesis of organic ligands and/or metal complexes, their physical and photophysical characterizations using NMR, MS, FTIR, UV/Vis, emission spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, etc. A strong sense of responsibility, proficiency in written and spoken English, good organizational skills, and ability to work independently are required. The appointee will be engaged in an ITF project on the development of blue OLED materials under the supervision of Professor C.M. Che.
